  • The temperature in Winter World is always -3 C (25 F). Our beautiful ice sculptures and all decorations stay in Winter World the whole year around.
  • About 20 000 people visit Winter World annually. Majority of our guests come from the USA and UK; we are getting many guests as well from Canada, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Australia and other countries. We are always happy to meet people from countries far away and close by!
  • We have about 600 overalls and 800 pairs of shoes. The smallest overall size is 80 cm (2’6”), the biggest one is 5 XL. The smallest shoes are size EU 22 and the biggest – size EU 50. You can be sure we’ve got your size covered.
  • The most vulnerable part of Winter World is Ice Bar. It is so beautiful that it’s being touched the most and the drinks when spilled leave the holes in the ice. Ice Bar is rebuilt every year while the rest of the ice decorations can stay for 3-4 years.
  • We have the oldest igloos in the world. Our current igloos are 5 years old!
  • Drinks in the Ice Bar are served in the glasses made solely of ice. We make them ourselves here on spot using special molds. We do not drill a hole in a piece of ice :). Every day we make about 200 new ice glasses.
  • The ice glasses are disposable. No dishes for us and the glass is all yours until it melts. You can buy the mold for ice glasses in our souvenir shop.
  • The ice glass won’t stick to your lips.
  • Vodka is stronger than ice – it takes 10 min for an alcohol drink to make a hole in your ice glass.
  • All the ice used in Winter World is 100% natural and comes from Lappish rivers. If you look at the ice tables close enough you might find a leaf or a small insect frozen in eternity.
  • Winter World represents Lapland in winter. There is almost no daylight in Lapland in winter months but the snow on the ground does not allow it to get completely dark. Instead you find yourself surrounded by magical glowing. We are using colourful lights in Winter World so you easily find your way among all the ice and snow. Something you won’t need here for sure is sunglasses.
