New feature: the Winter War laser tag game in cooperation with Virtatuotanto.
The kicksled is a small sled consisting of a chair mounted on a pair of flexible metal runners which extend backward to about twice the chair’s length. The sled is propelled by kicking. “Kicksled” is a direct translation of the Finnish word “potkukelkka”. The first definite record of a kicksled was in a newspaper in northern Sweden around 1870.
“One, two, right, left…” – are the words of tandem skiers. It has not much to do with our national sport, cross country skiing – tandem skiing is more about fun and team work. Tandems are the long skis with two sets of bindings mounted on each ski. You and your skiing partner have to coordinate your moves thoroughly. They say tandem skiing is a very good test of marriage durability.
Sliding down the hill
Sliding is a worldwide winter activity. In Winter World we use traditional Finnish plastic discs to slide down. So legs up, lean back, go!
